Transcription: The aspect ratio of a plane is simply a mathematical way to describe the shape of a wing. The distance from wingtip to wingtip divided by the average width or chord of the wing. For example, an F-15 has a relatively low aspect ratio, while a sailplane has a high aspect ratio.
